We did an investigation today. If you missed it, pick one of the following topics, and write a 1-2 page report on it: a) Niels Bohr and the atom, b)the history of the atomic bomb, c) the water cycle and the three states of water on Earth.
This Friday, we will be having two guest speakers. Steve Canant, a prosthetist and orthopedist with Hanger Orthopedic, and Mike St. Onge, a quadraamputee, will visit our school. These gentlemen will be doing a presentation on artificial limbs – how they are made, how they work, and how this technology impacts amputees. Mr. St. Onge will share his personal story about his life as an amputee. These two friends have a great presentation geared to kids that will supplement our unit on the human body.
